Before we begin
When we first started Pristine ProWash we were using more traditional methods such as power washing or pressure washing. This was the most common ways to clean the siding on your home. With many advances and technology we have evolved to what is referred to as soft washing. This is an environmentally safe, and far more effective way to clean the exterior of your home. Soft washing allows our technicians to wash the outside of your house with low pressure using detergents and soaps. Traditional methods like power washing may cause excessive water to get behind the siding. This is one of the many benefits to low pressure house washing.
Upon arriving at your house
When you see one of our trucks pull up to your house for a washing the first thing one of the technicians will do is pull our water hose from the truck and hook it up to your spigot (not if you have a well). Our trucks are equipped with water tanks; however, depending on the size of your house we may require more water than what is in the tank.
While the technician is hooking up to the water spigot the lead technician will, if you are home, knock on the door to make sure that you understand the process and what you will need to do. The lead technician will ask if all windows and doors are shut and locked. This is to ensure that no detergent or water goes into your home.
Secondly the technicians will walk the hoses from the truck around your house to the furthest point they will reach. The technicians will then turn on the washers and begin the house washing process.
House Washing Process
Each truck has two technicians, a lead technician and a technician, this way while one applies the house wash detergent the other can wet any plants or vegetation around the house. Watering all plants around the house prevents the detergent from causing any harm to them.
The technicians will start on the farthest side of your house that our hoses will reach. One technician will begin to apply the algaecide to that side. Before the second technician rinses off the detergent they will apply, with a brush, an aluminum cleaner to any stained gutters or facia. This aluminum cleaner helps remove any non-organic matter from the gutters and facia such as rust stains from run-off and black streaks.
If your home has any decks or porches with vinyl railings the technicians will apply the algaecide to the railings. Over time green growth can begin to cover certain parts of your railings. We will fix this!
As the technicians work their way around your house one will always be rinsing with water while one applies the detergent. This ensures a fast and efficient process for our house washes. Rinsing off the house is the more tedious of these two tasks. Our technicians are very careful to make sure they allow time for the house washing detergent to work but not to allow enough time for it to dry on the siding or windows. Much like washing a car, if the soap dries on windows it can leave spots. Not to worry though, our technicians are trained to make sure this does not happen.
Finishing Up
After the house washing is finished both the lead technician and technician will walk back around the house to double check for any missed spots to ensure our quality of the service. Sometimes little pieces of debris can be missed in the first rinse, and double checking ensures that your house is perfect before we leave.
Once the technicians have finished the house wash and have double checked, they will unhook the hose from your water spigot, reel in their hoses, collect any brushes, ladders (if they were used), and collect any other equipment.
Finally the lead technician will let you know (if you are home during the wash) that they are done and you can unlock your windows and doors. Now it is time for you to enjoy your sparkling clean home.
Our goal is to leave every property looking better than when we arrived. We take pride in our quality of service and want to make every home look as good as possible!
