Your asphalt roof is made up of several ingredients. One of them is crushed limestone that’s added for longevity. With that, it is breeding ground for lichen and moss. Lichen is a flat growth and green in color on your shingles. Moss is green and looks puffy and mimicks grass growing on your roof. Whatever the stage of growth, it should be tackled with chemicals and low pressure washing. You mush avoid using high pressure to clean off the growth – you’ll damage the shingles.

By using a standard pressure washer with a concentrated nozzle, you will remove not only the moss and other growth on the shingle, you’ll damage the shingle life itself. The pressure will loosen the limestone on the panels. In addition, the limestone embedded in the shingle acts as a reflector and thus may heat up your overall roof space. Not considering possible leaking that may result.

Commercial cleaning services require in person estimates to make sure all aspects are taken into consideration. We’ll call and discuss a pathway ahead. After your 25% deposit is paid, your date is booked with the remaining payment due upon completion of services.

It will depend on what add-on’s, size of your home and access that dictates how long the process takes. We have an average staff of two with advanced equipment and supplies. Our ‘standard’ projects complete within 2 to 3 hours. Again, it will depend on what services are selected.
